What the extension does

The namue Chrome extension is a personal lookup tool. When you search or open a company record, the extension sends an HTTPS request directly from your browser to Thailand's DBD DataWarehouse+ at https://datawarehouse.dbd.go.th. The response is decrypted and displayed locally inside the extension.

What we collect on our servers

Nothing. namue does not operate a server that receives, logs, or stores your queries or the DBD responses. The data path is between your browser and DBD; our infrastructure is not in the loop.

What is stored locally on your device

For convenience, the extension keeps the following in Chrome's per-extension chrome.storage.local:

Both are cleared automatically when you uninstall the extension or manually clear the extension's storage in Chrome settings.

Third-party services

The extension talks to one external service: DBD DataWarehouse+ at datawarehouse.dbd.go.th, a public registry operated by Thailand's Department of Business Development. It is the data source. Their handling of requests is governed by their own terms and Thailand's PDPA.

Webapps that integrate with the extension (via Chrome's externally_connectable mechanism) may relay your queries to their own backend. Each such webapp publishes its own privacy notice — review them separately. As of this writing, integrations are limited to a small allowlist of partner domains.

Changes to this notice

If we materially change what the extension does with your data, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, prompt users at next extension launch. Minor wording clarifications won't bump that date.
